The exercise “Side Steps” is ideal for well-defined legs and a sexy, well-toned butt. Here’s everything you need to know, in a nutshell:

Who? For mother with baby, or also solo
Where? Indoors or outdoors
How often? Depending on your fitness level: start with 8-10 repetitions per side (alternating), followed by a short break; then do another 8-10 reps
Info for the mother: Concentrate on keeping your stomach and pelvic-floor muscles tightened during the exercise; keep your breathing even and calm

The exercise

Starting position:

  • Stand behind the Croozer with your feet about hip-width apart
  • Your hands should be resting on the handlebar with your elbows bent
  • Keep your stomach and pelvic-floor muscles tight

The movement:

  • Step to the right with your right leg
  • Bend both knees and push your hips backward while descending into a squat position
  • Lean your torso slightly forwards while pushing the Croozer away from you
  • Then straighten your legs and bring your right foot back to the starting position (with your feet about hip-width apart)
  • At the same time, straighten your upper body and pull the Croozer back towards your body
  • Now take a step to the side with your left foot…
  • Do several repetitions, alternating sides

An important reminder:

  • Maintain the tension in your stomach and pelvic-floor muscles
  • Keep your back straight for the entire exercise
  • When doing the squat: Your knees should be pointing in the same direction as your toes; your knees should be over your ankles, with your weight on your heels
