Where can I find the key number?
The key number is engraved on the handlebar head – on the silver plate where the lock is also located.
If the number is not visible or cannot be found, please contact our Customer Service at: consumer@croozer.com.
Under normal service conditions, you will receive a response within two business days (Monday to Friday).
For which trailer models can I reorder the key?
You can reorder the key with the key number for all Croozer trailers from the 2018 model year onward.
From this model year, the key numbers are engraved on the towbar, making it possible to reorder a key.

What can I do if my trailer is too old to reorder a key?
If your trailer is from before the 2018 model year and does not have a key number engraved on the towbar, the key cannot be reordered.
For child trailers, you can order the replacement hitch arm (SKU: 123600019) directly in our online shop.
For Cargo and Dog trailers from before the 2018 model year, please contact our Customer Service at consumer@croozer.com
to order a suitable replacement towbar.
Can I also have the key copied on my own?
You can order a replacement key to lock the towbar of your bike trailer from a locksmith, provided you still have one of the three keys that came with it. Please request the key blank Silca No. LS 11 to create additional duplicates. The keys for the towbar are available as spare parts in our range. If there are any availability issues, our staff will notify you.
If you no longer have a key, you can also order one individually. Please provide the necessary billing and shipping information to order a new replacement key. We will get back to you as soon as possible!
What should I do if my key breaks off and is stuck in the lock?
If your key breaks off and remains stuck in the lock, you can do the following:
1. Check if the cylinder can still turn despite the broken key – often, the towbar can still be removed.
2. Apply some WD-40 or a similar lubricant to the lock.
3. Use a fine needle to carefully remove the broken key piece from the lock.
4. Place the towbar head on wood or another soft surface and tap gently if the key piece does not come out immediately.
5. Once the key piece is removed, you can order a replacement key or, if necessary, a replacement towbar.
